Operation |

The FLUID Model 68 is a quick opening differential diaphragm deluge valve with one moving part. The valve is held closed by the system water pressure in priming chamber, there by rendering the upstream system piping dry. During fire or test conditions, when the releasing system operates pressure is released from the priming chamber allowing the valve to open and to start the flow of water. |

The Deluge valve shall be a UL Listed, diaphragm sealing weir type valve. |
|
The valve shall have an unobstructed flow path with no stem guid or supporting ribs. Valve actuation shall be accomplished by a |

fully peripherally supported, one-piece flexible diaphragm. the diaphragm assembly shall be the only moving part. |
|
The valve shall have a removable cover for quick in-line service, enabling all necessary inspection and servicing. |
|
The control trim materials shall consist of S.S.316 tubing and fittings, and plated brass accessories including 2-way solenoid valve, |
|
strainer and Manual Emergency Release. |
|
The trim shall be supplied, pre-assembled and hydraulically tested at factory. |

| The valve maintains a pre-set fixed upstream pressure, regardless of downstream pressure or flow rate variations. The valve will be closed drip tight when the upstream pressure is lower than the set value. |
